Forum for people who suffer from different types of hair loss

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

WHAT ISSMP ™ TREATMENT?
SMP stands for scalp micro pigmantation and is one of HIS specially developed cosmetic pigmentation technique HIS designed over the last 10 years to help people who suffer from different types of hair loss. By using special pigments and a sophisticated technology, replicates SMP in a very realistic way, the effect of a short-trimmed hair by inserting pigment into the skin. The treatment requires no surgery and is also an affordable alternative to other treatments, hair transplants or regular use of drugs or other treatments.

HOW DOES THE SMP ™ DIFFERS FROM A TRADITIONAL TATTOO?
SMP differs in several ways from a traditional tattoo. First, the pigment we use specially designed for this process, and does not, as ordinary tattoo color, after injection. Second, we use special techniques to control the needle's speed, depth and penetration, rather than using a traditional coil or rotary machine; pigment introduced into the skin is located at a shallower level than in traditional tattoos. Finally, we use only sterile disposable needles for each treatment, rather than re-using needles after autoclaving as many traditional tattoo artists do. SMP has been specially designed to disguise hair loss and it has taken years of development to perfect these techniques. We would like to advise everyone not to try to replicate this via a traditional tattoo artist.

DO SMP HIDE SCARS?
Yes, the SMP can contribute significantly to reducing the visibility of scars from previous hårtransplantationskirurgi. The degree of camouflage of the scar depends on the scar itself, but by mixing pigment scar with neighboring hair and its color makes it much more difficult to detect it, almost impossible in most cases. Pictures of some of our customers who have completed the SMP to hide their scars on the gallery on our website (www.hishairclinic.com).
How much does the treatment cost?
The exact cost of the SMP will vary depending on a number of factors, such as size and the area of the head and scalp that needs to be treated, the style you want and the number of treatments needed to perform the procedure. A typical cost is about £ 20000-25000 for two sessions, but an exact cost for your needs is given after a free and non-binding consultation with one of our trained employees. We are convinced that this method provides good value for money compared to hair transplant or regular use of drugs or other treatments.
Will It Hurt?
This depends on how sensitive your skin is. Most people experience only mild discomfort similar to the feeling of a series of small sting. For clients who experience more discomfort, we can offer numbing creams and gels to manage the pain. For most required, however no anesthesia.

WHAT TRAINING DO THE STAFF HAVE?
HIS practitioners have all received customized training of HIS directors Ian Watson and Ranbir-Watson in SMP ™ technology. Ian and Ranbir are professionally qualified in the permanent cosmetic tattooing, medical tattoo and body art tattoo. Our practitioners undergo an intensive and complete training at our central training academy. All aspects of the SMP ™ technology included in utbildingen- from the technical implementation of the SMP ™ to customer aftercare. All our practitioners receive His Hair Clinic SMP ™ accredited certificates.
How will I look like immediately after treatment?
The area of the scalp treated will be slightly red for 2-5 days, but this tends to be even less visible at those with darker skin tones. In addition, the pigmentation darker for up to 7 days after treatment, again depending on your skin tone. Thereafter, the pigments lighter and softer as the skin's natural exfoliation process regenerates new cells in the skin.

WILL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS SEE THAT I HAVE DONE THE TREAMTMENT?
SMP ™ provides very authentic results and all our past customers agree that the only way anyone would know that they have undergone treatment if they told them. There are a large number of pictures of previous customers on our website (www.hishairclinic.com). We encourage those who are looking to undergo SMP ™ to visit any of our clinics for a non-binding consultation so that they can see up close how realistic the end result is. Some customers choose to involve their family or partner to help create its new look, but others prefer to keep it a secret. If you choose not to tell - nor will we!

DO THE PIGMENTS FADE OR CHANGE COLOR?
The pigments used in SMP ™ is not the same as those used in traditional tattoos, so there is no risk that they would be green or blue with time as is the case with regular tattoo ink. The treated area will look darker on the first days after the treatment, but will then brighten and adopt a somewhat softer tone. In the long term (over several years), it may be necessary to undergo further treatment.

DO YOU NEED TO BE 18 TO DO SMP ™ TREATMENT?
We do not treat anyone under 18 without parental consent. Hair loss is difficult to deal with at any time, but can be especially traumatic when it affects someone young. However, we believe that it is very important for our younger clients to have a full understanding of the process and what it means so they can come to the right decision about what is best for them in the long term.
How long does the treatment?
The first treatment takes between 3-4 hours, and subsequent treatment of 2-3 hours.
Does it matter what color hair you have?
No, the HIS personnel have been trained in color matching. We have a range of pigments we use as we match with your own hair, taking into account skin tone and density.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET GREY HAIR?
As you keep your hair short, this is not a problem. Since your hair is now so closely cropped, gray hair will not affect the appearance of the style in its entirety and the existing hair will be mixed in with the treated area. We are also able to customize the color and make touch up after your treatment if needed in future.
